I hope they don't take 18 months like the article suggested they might. The current 10mg thc limit per edible package is ridiculous. I hope the limit increases to atleast 100mg per package. I'd rather 350mg or higher as the new limit but I doubt that will happen.

Heavy users make up a huge percentage of cannabis sales. But heavy user will not buy edibles because the thc levels are too low. This makes the edible market unnsucesful. If heavy users want edibles, they will make them themselves or go to the black market until we have higher thc edibles approved for sale.

Actually, 10mg will give most non-pot-head types as much high as they want for as long as they want. And if they desire an extra boost they can have another. So increasing it won't change much, because every pot-head I have ever known was never into edibles. The edibles market will continue to grow among people who are new to cannabis and people that don't want to be stoned all the time.

Thankyou for your opinion. I may partially agree with you. But I know people who needed 25mgs to have a decent effect their first times using edibles. Some regular edible users want 300mgs and above. That means they have to open 30 packages, and likely consume way more sugar than they want. A guest on the Joe Rogan experiance who has a big tolerance to edible cannabis said he can take huge doses of edibles without hardly feeling an effect. I can't remember the exact dose he said. It was something like 1000 or 2000 milligrams. I want Canopy to make money off of dudes like that. And some of these dudes or girls are rich and they would be willing to spend hundreds of dollars per day if that is the price to eat multiple high dose edibles.

Canada will not boost the THC content of edibles very high for obvious reasons. They will surely change the law concerning the st4pid limit of THC beverages. The people buying edibles will not buy them to be very high, but for a lttle buzz. Of course there will be some freak that will get high by eating a lot. Make some researches on it by reading users and their style of consumption, not the fake news articles to lure people with a disclaimer that they don't own the stock.

Many people like to be just a little high to make their day's tasks, to change their mood, etc. Not everybody like to be very high. Although the beverages are at a very low %, the edibles occupies a good % of the sales. The problem is that the sales are divided between too many companies to be profitable. Don't forget the private ones, well managed because they didn't expand in every directions and others countries, because they used theit own money. Even, many of them struggle or are bankrupted. They still are the nightmare of the public companies, slealing their sales.
