They left a low dividend when copper was riding high because they wanted to have a secure dividend so I doubt they will lower it over the short term. In the past they have stated that this dividend is easily support at $3 so I don't believe they are F'd as you put it below $3.
Markets usually play the economy 6 months out so it looks like the markets think the recession is a done deal. Lots depends on what China does with all the lockdown and if that continues then maybe we see $2.50 copper and then I think we might see a reduction or elimination of the dividend.
Just have to watch how the inflation numbers come out over the next quarter and lets hope we are not headed back to $0.17
