23 percent was the PRIME RATE charged by the Big Banks__and only lasted a few weeks in 1981
The Canada Savings Bonds for 1981 were set at
19.5 percent__locked in for 7 Years !!!!
Those were Truly FREAKING SCARY TIMES__and We SURE DO NOT WANT a REPEAT eh !!!!
