Basically this is right but in this very case it appears that it's meaningless and the reason is this: It's not a case of either Li-Ion or VRFB. It's a case of Li-Ion (9 out of 10 times) or (1 out of 10 times) any of the following: Vanadium flow, Iron flow, Zinc-Bromine, Zink-Manganese, Zinc-Air, Nickel-Hydrogen, Lignin, "liquid metal", Sodium Ion, compressed air, gravity based.

That's why a fire in one battery pack (out of 10s of thousand installed battery packs) does not help VRFB. At the end of the day it all comes down to sales. And we know sales are ZERO. This simple fact PROVES that VRFBs do not currently profit from this or any previous fire(s). Have a look at energy-storage.news. You'll find deals in the 100s of MWs every week. When did "team V" strike the last deal? Serously. When?
