Gas prices in Vancouver are $10 a gallon measured at about $2.25 a litre. About 4+ litres in a gallon.
True, gas prices are still quite high, but please try to make sure your information is accurate and stop cherry-picking Canadian retail gas prices.
1) There are 3.79 litres in a gallon, not 4+.
2) B.C. has by far the highest gasoline prices of any province in Canada at 2.14 per litre. That would make the price there 8.11 CAD per gallon.
3) The average gasoline price across the 10 Canadian provinces is approximately 1.65 per litre, which equates to 6.25 CAD per gallon.
3) The 6.25 is Canadian dollars, not U.S. dollars. The Canadian dollar is currently trading very low at around 0.73 U.S., so that equates to 4.58 USD per gallon.
Thus, you pick the most expensive city in the most expensive province to apparently try and show how expensive gas prices currently are. Very deceiving in my view.....
alwayslong, BC never said these are the gas prices in Canada. He said these are the gas prices in Vancouver. I think the point he's making is that gas prices on average are high. Why would he want to deceive anyone? He's always shared his opinions and tried to help other members on this forum.
Minray, thanks so much for responding on my behalf. I did not see alwayslong message, as I have him blocked for some reason. The below will demonstrate likely why.
In Canada, there are 4.5 LITRES PER GALLON, NOT 3.79 as there are in the US. My original post talked about gas prices in Vancouver which are about $10 per CAD gallon. I know gas prices are cheaper in other parts of Canada. If I lived in Califormia, I would care about the high prices there vs. Nebraska.
SO YOU GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT SIR. Ya, I woke yesterday thinking how I could deceive someone that day. FYI, my wife owns a Model 3 and I have a Model Y on order.
