Lithium Americas Investing into Ontario's Lithium I believe I noticed the figure of $10-million. It's a good start for LAC, probably just very early beginnings, and one of those Lithium prospects is neighboring or very close vicinity with Frontier's "Pennock" Lithium project.
Will clarify what I read earlier in the week & post some further details, but at the moment, have some major work to get done and I am tied up all weekend and likely well into early next week.
However, I do recall thinking (from what I read), especially given the new knowledge of the power line infrastructure development well underway in the vicinity of Frontier Lithium (probably a drawing card for a major Lithium developer like Lithium Americas) that LAC is recognizing the value of high purity Lithium and adding another Lithium focus point to its developing Lithium agenda is a normal business progression for LAC.
You are so right, with massive market capitalization and $500+ million in the treasury and Lithium production operations to begin shortly (at "spot" US $72,000 per metric tonne Lithium Carbonate), LAC is an imminent cash cow and ready to strike & grow by acquisition.
The timing is impecable for Lithium Americas to acquire on the cheap as Frontier unable to move its share price needle upwards, relative to its peers.
Clearly, with multiple Lithium deposits (mines) and quantity of Lithium that FL has drilled off to date, and China being squeezed for supply of Lithium Spodumene, it's just a question of WHEN FL is acquired.
All that is needed is an experienced Lithium builder, the likes of LAC, with financial resources and manpower (been there, done that already) to accelerate FL's Lithium mines to production.
And Lithium Americas CEO fully aware there is probably a greater quantity of Lithium in concentrated footprint area than at Thacker's Pass.
