Whether Phase 2 will be e-LNG is unclear. Would take up 600MW. Hydro BC says no need for new electricity until after 2032. But...
Site C has a nameplate capacity of 1100MW, but average generating capcity is 650MW. All power would be used up by Phase 2.
Add in the smaller LNG projects wanting hydro powerm, green hydrogen hub BC is contemplating and Asia wants (not made by natural gas), increased electric vehicle use and general electricfication of industry.
Independent power producers are optimistic. I assume this include Northland's BC windfarm initiative.
Asia huge LNG and green hydrogen market for decades.
Phase 1 on track to ship LNG by mid-decade, phase 2 still up in the air.
