RE:Submitted another article today

RE:Submitted another article today I agree with the general sentiment that GENM is doing what it can be to lower its impact on the environment, but one should not persuade oneself that  that mining is green.  That is pure green washing.  We have a burgeoning population and we need to make some smart choices  to minimise the impact as we go to 10 billion people.  This includes choosing more efficient mining operations.

If you are really concerned about the environment, the best thing you can do is not have children and the next best thing is probably eating a diet based on beans and nuts and avoiding planes.  Theoretically we could get close to carbon neutral transportation but a lot has to happen including no longer using palladium in car exhausts because we all went electric.  This is not happening anytime soon!  Until then we need palladium so we have to choose between habitat destruction and some CO2 emissions vs polluting urban environments with toxic gases. So yes, we need GENM.
