Newcrest Passing Up Big Opportunity??

Newcrest Passing Up Big Opportunity??I have great respect for Newcrest management.
I'm sure they did lots of due diligence viewing the Cornerstone assets as part of their portfolio.
Newcrest has done well in Ecuador, probably better than ANY others while incurring less effort and fewer risks and liabilities.

Newcrest managers  NEED TO VIEW BHP's CONTROL OF SOLGOLD AS.........

              AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT.

How so you might ask?

Just look at Olympic Dam (to use a shining example).
This mine produces copper with uranium as a credit.
By default, BHP finds itself owning what?....almost 5% of an unrelated market.

In the case of SolGold, the gold production (proposed 1/2 million oz yearly bound up with copper)
forces BHP into COMPETING with Newcrest.

It's not dark yet, Mr Biswas.
