Atlas Salt Inc. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company. The Company is engaged in the evaluation, exploration, development and production of industrial mineral properties in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Company’s principal asset is the Great Atlantic salt deposit project (Great Atlantic Salt Project), located in the St. George Basin of western Newfoundland. Its Gypsum Project is three kilometers (km) southwest of Great Atlantic salt deposit, which is an early-stage and open-pit production from the Ace deposit. Its Nepheline Syenite Property consists of a surface occurrence of nepheline syenite along the southern Labrador highway. The project is located approximately six km from tide water.

you think Canada winters are getting worse? You must not live in Canada. The winters get warmer and warmer. Less ice on roads every year. It's very noticeable the changes over the last 10,20,30 years.
the lakes where I grew up are lucky to even freeze over let alone support trucks we use to drive on them. We are lucky to have snow at Christmas there now when I used to jump from my roof into the snow.
I can tell you with out zero doubt it's getting warmer at winter and eventually we won't need salt for roads.

with that said it's still a long way away. Where I live now it's to cold for salt to even work in the winter so they spread actual sand. so eventually salt will be useful here. But I don't see not needing road salt for a good 30+ years



Glad no one was around at the last ice age!  Weather is cyclical...people got to get over it!  You do know that many tropical plants have been unearthed in the polar regions right??!  Where were the global warming bandwagon green followers then lol...oh well...
