Q: In your letter to shareholders, you said “Cannabis and cannabis-derivative products are inarguably our short-term future.” Can you elaborate on what you meant by that?
A: If we want to grow and be a multi-billion dollar company, we need to increase our total addressable market, and find opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell. Historically, we’ve already done this: We started with 1.0, the flower. Then we expanded into 2.0, which was initially very narrow but we continue to expand on that as well, each time delivering a broader range of cannabis and cannabis derivative products to customers.
But at some point in the future, our customers are going to look for things that are adjacent to these products because the goal will be the same — they want to find calmness, to relax, or to be energized, or increase their creativity — their definition of wellness. We’ll continue to be well-positioned in expanding our product offering long term, and therefore increasing our revenue and potential market.
