RE:RE:Finally My overall sense is Lyle had to underpromise today in hopes of over delivering in the very near future. He admits it has been tough dealing with some of the more extremist folks who oppose Condor efforts to mine Pucamayo. None of them actually live there and so have no voting rights. He referenced another comapny going through the same troubles and maiintains he has a plan to ensure the vote occurs and that property is protected by security once drilling commences on the property. This situation is common in South American countries e.g. if you are a farmer or a miner in Colombia you will need some kind of support from Guerillas or FARQ (or both) who tend to enforce laws the further you get away from major cities.
Bottom line I remain optimistic a deal will get signed and likely this Sunday barring an act of extremism that scares the village. I think Condor has gone above and beyond to manage typical hurdles they simply need to ensure the villagers at the assembly feel safe when they vote. We can expect potentially 100% support-even villagers are asking for the deal to go through.
Stay positive everyone! Its a good deal for the village and for all of us and lets hope the individuals who create fear are dealt with swiftly and harshly!
