If you have been an investor for as long as you say then this stock owes you nothing. It has been close to and well over $2 twice in the last 8 years. I made a good profit in 2014. It sounds like maybe you missed the boat and didn't sell at these highs.

Explains a lot... why you're so bitter. Perhaps taking an investment course could help you so
you don't make the same mistakes again and again
