Interesting read on Rio Tinto @sizzlingbeef I was reading this agoracom post about Rio Tinto's agreement with the Canadian govt
https://agoracom.com/ir/PyroGenesisCanada/forums/discussion/topics/783135-new-rio-tinto-agreement-with-government/messages/2367666#message
and found some really interesting things there. "Ore processed at the plant for scandium mainly comes from waste materials from the Havre-St-Pierre, Que., titanium dioxide mine.
Ore from the mine may also allow Rio Tinto to produce titanium metal at Sorel-Tracy. If the company succeeds in the pilot project, it will become one of the largest titanium producers in North America. Currently, China dominates the market for the extremely strong and light metal that is used in myriad industrial applications, including as an alloy in the aerospace industry."
Could Rio be trying to get torches for iron ore industry AND set up a process to feed titanium wire to PYR so they can turn out powders in NA? That would be nice, and very efficient. No need to get titanium from China and can start a supply chain in NA
