RE:RE:Torch electrical consumption

Won't need many elements of heat of any nature with shuttered smelters.

5 cents a kw down to 1 cent delivered ..and unicorns will roam the plains

No one is defending bunker but natural gas and bio is cheaper. They arent going to go bankrupt to be green no matter how many shares you have and how much you pump.

... and if this was all true Pyro would be pumping the hell out of cost advantages not refusing to answer when asked...because we ak\ll know that green never compare costs,,,oh wait thats the first thing EVERYONE asks about everything

oh sorry they are keeping the green and cheaper information  confidential for competitive reasons....

Contracts....crickets

I guess that cement thesis was also lying when it had plasma at twice the cost of gas based on 6.5 cents per kwh, half of reality for most if not all the planet

damn bashing universities...

1mw torch times 50 torches for a furnace
thats 50 MW x 24 hrs
1200 MWhr per day x $50/MWhr(probably on the high side average for heavy industries. (Ontario MW price goes as low as $10MW/hr at times)

$60,000 per day on average for plasma torches. Quite a bit cheaper than diesel or bunker c.

Oil burners have to burn more oil for preheat steam and to drive off moisture

bunker c oil is the filthiest fuel on the planet. It contains 3500 times the sulphur of normal diesel.

it's full of heavy metals that are released to the atmosphere when combusted on the daily. I'm not even gonna mention the carbon problems

what kind of person could justify defending oil burners when such a better alternative has been presented?
