RE:RE:RE:Turquiose HillSooner,
As you know I am not in the corner to sell Casino for a $4-$6 price range, as you support.
Thank goodness not all shareholders think the same, and we have differences of opinion.
Changing gears, we shall see if RT has made their last price offer to Turquoise Hill. We have already heard that there are disgruntled Institutions and retail shareholders that are not supportive of their latest buyout offer. We will hear the vote count on Nov 1. I'm certain the decision at TH will determine where RT stands with Casino. I'm expecting RT to improve upon their buyout offer at TH if vote count is a close tally. Can't see them walking away from TH, but if do its great for WRN who hold the "Jewel property of the Yukon".
In terms of RT I expect they will use their option to extend their partnership with WRN for another year until Nov 30/23 as RT's track record on some other properties the last few years has not been a favorable ownership outcome.
To my knowledge both parties haven't commenced serious negotiations yet.
I would want to see the latest deep hole drill results from the core of the Casino deposit before serious negotiations commence.
Are both parties deliberately holding drill results back from other Majors and shareholders?
We need to ask ourselves why results haven't been released yet into the public domain.
Good, bad or indifferent release them.
I suspect the geologists who drilled Casino 4+ years ago and made the recommendation in their yearend report to drill deeper in the core were onto something with their state of the art equipment used throughout their drilling operations. I'm expecting excellent results eventually to be announced on the deep hole drilling in the core of the Casino deposit.
IMO, WRN will continue to advance the permitting process for Casino with YESAB to the end, and when Casino is shovel ready for a sale it will be sold.
As Dale Corman stated, "we don't have financing or staff expertise to take Casino to production" so we will take Casino to the shovel ready stage and sell it. Dale C hand picked the BOD's who are probably chomping at the bit to get the negotiations going. I have full confidence in our BOD's, more than capable of getting the job done with a Major(s).
I'm expecting Newmont and Others to enter the competitive mix in the upcoming year.
There is no hurry here.
Let the negotiations commence, recession happen in the next year, metal prices totally recover and then some, as we move towards the electrification era coming at us from 2025-30.
Just my take from the opposite end of the price spectrum. Cheers!
