QuestionsCliff and Fully, beyond the 2023 capex which is purely speculation at this point, I do see some questions here short term
Did you notice on presentation, we dont own the land were the 3 gushers were drilled in Aug, what happened here that we got that land and drilled?
-From what I can tell used to be enerplus land and YGR must have done a small deal at some point to get it. Enerplus as been selling all canadian stuff.
Did you guys notice the current well being drilled in cheddar? WTF is going on!!!!
Unless an info error, but I checked a few sites, it looks like YGR is drilling in same spot they already have 3 cardium wells drilled....only well is like half mile longer. The new ferrier licences also have this up and down thing going on.
The cardium is an upper sand, then bio, and then lower sand. YGR has been already driled in bio...hoping the uppper and lower cardium are close enough the frac pulls oil from all in that 20 metre sand zone.
My hunch is YGR is doing the current well, slightly higher in upper cardium sand as probably thicker in there. From upper to lower sands....like 20 metres but it f*cking varies. The lower result cheddar wells they probably are not catching oil from upper sands and just middle and lower part.
With such precise horizontal drilling tech as clearwater play has shown...drilling into 3 metre clear water zones....I think YGR is going for purely upper sands of cardium in the current well.
Upper sands have high porosity and if hit right...should gush without as much fracin. Some parts of YGR land the upper has 75% of the oil.
Interesting.
