So, with the 100 M$ investment in the cell house, we finally learned what the last upgrade will need to be taken before GC buyout.

Reminder, a plant this size is over a 1 B$ investment to build. The value of the plant on the balance sheet is after 180 M$ in impairment charges over the last decade - while they invested close to 100 M$ in upgrades. The balance sheet value is meaningless IMHO.

Last major investment in the cell plant was 17 M$ liner upgrade. Frankly, it sounds like GC wants us to upgrade the cell process to a high density higher production.

So, back in 2010, Xstrata was willing to spend 3.9 a share to buy the plant before the most recent upgrades. After all the upgrades, should be worth a lot more down the road.
