RE:STC for AFIRS EDGE on Airbus!

RE:STC for AFIRS EDGE on Airbus!Getting this Transport Canada STC for the Airbus A320 family of aircraft should start the ball rolling for Edge installations. The AFIRS 228 still has its place and I expect airlines will buy into both devices for their independent and combined purposes and solutions. The STC for the Boeing 737 family should follow on, and certification in other jurisdictions can likely be advanced with the TC STC as their basis.

Here is a link to a PDF about the Edge as part of a WQAR solution.

https://flyht.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Edge_1pager_EMAIL.pdf

The PDF is entitled: "5G WQAR UPGRADE INSTALLED IN 5 MINUTES".

"AFIRS EDGE is a plug-in compatible 5G WQAR overnight replacement, available at the cost
of a 2G/3G WQAR repair or upgrade".

Link to viewing the STC online...  Clicking on “View current certificate in PDF format” should work.
