RE:RE:Heywood..Buy platinum...you guys are smart....love your postI'll add my two cents here:  for those with a basis over 20 cents, now is a great time to spend a small amount and really get your basis per share down.  We are likely all aware of what has been happening with GPL recently.  I was sitting on my shares with an adjusted basis near $8 a share and thought why not spend a few hundred picking up shares for literally pennies.  I dropped my basis under $1 for a trivial investment and now I lose no sleep worrying about whether it will recover if the price of gold cooperates, which I believe it most certainly will.

Moral of the story is, if you believe in the underlying metals and if the price of the shares drop low enough, why not take advantage of the situation and "heal" your basis?  Even if your holdings is a bit more than the 2% - 3% of your portfolio that I recommend, at the current price you aren't spending a whole lot to get your basis back into order.

I say get it under 20 cents because within the last two years we peaked at about 24 cents USD, so that seems like a good bar to get it under.
