The Russians invaded a huge country with a few troops. This tells you their plan, if you had eyes to see. It is impossible to occupy it with so few men.
The Russians had three objectives in this war. Eliminate nazis, and take the Donbass.
And when peace comes, a non-NATO Ukraine. They won.
They had no intention of taking large cities, as they did not send enough troops at the start to do that. All that did was keep Ukrainian reinforcements pinned down, and out of the east, where the nazi units are being destroyed. And out of the Donbass which will now be Russian. Forever.
If the Russians took Kiev, they would have to feed it. Of course they don't want to do that. Now the Euros are looking at economic depression due to soaring energy costs, which will destroy their economies. Not harm....destroy.
And Ukraine won't be in NATO.
So now you know.

They have pretty well taken the Eastern Provinces which are mostly Russians and just about eliminated the Nazi fanatics ....their main objective....Perhaps Odessa next and other than destroying the remaining bio labs , that will be most of their military objectives achieved .
They have Kiev surrounded but all services are being provided, as Kiev is a part of historical Russia, they have not and may not enter the city to avoid destroying much of Russian Culture.
Possibly the largest positives of Russian invasion and removing the western Supported nazis is that we may see once again a multipolar world.
The EU states have been vassals of the US for 60 years , with NATO being its overlords and the USD being weaponized to irrational limits as we now see with Russia.
This will make the world safer and more humane..

Looks like the western transcarpatian region might be split to Slovakia and Poland.
These ethnic populations in that region have been suffering terrorist attacks by the same azov group as eastern Ukraine.

Donbas battalions have now been defeated.....nothing new there..and phase 2 is now beginning.
So, on to mopping up operations in Kiev by the main task force and that will be it.
All objectives achieved.
