Financial audits by major accounting firms are usually uneventful and on schedule.

Two exceptions:
(1) accounting records are a mess and proper documentation is not ready or available;
(2) major disagreement on accounting assumptions with auditor unwilling to sign-off.

Based on the fact that they scheduled a call last Friday, my guess is that the audit is completed but that they are dealing with some disagreement on an accounting issue that they thought could be resolved during the week-end.

The whole thing is unusual and amateurish. JIMO. GLTA
