RE:The Star MysterySheesh, can't a guy take a vacation??!!
I'm back now. VERY pleased with Bombardier, and thrilled to be making a lot of money while resting and relaxing. It's hard for me even on vacation to get away from the market, but I promised my wife I would only look in at the end of the day.
I did sell some shares this morning prior to the halt. I still hold a core position, but had an oversized trading position that I really wasn't comfortable with. Even that trading position I let run far longer than I would have normally, but the upswing was just too present to not take a more relaxed approach, which in the end was a very profitable strategy.
The whole market I think is now too far out in front of itself. I think Bombardier on the whole will be fine, but retracements (believe it or not!) are part of any normal rise. In the overall market, I'm back to thinking there's a disconnect between what has been the best monthly rise since 1974, and the reality of the world we live in today. About a month ago I posted that I thought there would be a relief rally, but this one has all the elements of being really frothy and overbaked. I'll hold the core for the next few months so that's fine, and if there's a healthy retrracement in the overall market and Bombardier I'll resume a trading position at some point.
All things considered, I maintain Bombardier is still the best stock on the TSX.
