Drill Results

Drill ResultsThe drill results released today continue some consistent themes we've been seeing all year.

More good results at the northern end of Goldstorm in the CS600 domain, above the average gold grade for the rest of Goldstorm and again containing more copper.

Another excellent hole that ends in mineralization at 1386m indicating they are still not close to defining the depth of the system.

Mr. Konkin continues to aggressively step out as far as possible to extend the limits of the system.  In this case, hole 158 undercuts hole 151-W1 by at least another 100 meters and perhaps as much as 150m.

Another good result in the 300H domain with hole 156 and another short interval of much higher grade.

As usual, there are also some surprises in this release.  Two holes drilled at the southern end of Copper Belle and one hole drilled into the Konkin Zone.  The Konkin Zone hole is very exciting to me (and I know you're asking why - only 46.5m at .51g/t Au with some very short widths at higher grade).  So here's why:

1 - The hole drilled into the Konkin zone is now only about 400 meters from the holes drilled into the southern end of the Copper Belle Zone.  The two zones are likely a single system.
2 - Back in the 1980's there were other holes drilled at Konkin.  Hole TA-89-5 hit for a total of over 74 meters at .65g/t Au or better.  .65g/t Au is pretty much the average for Goldstorm as a whole in the 2021 resource estimate.  So the Konkin Zone is a continuation of very consistent results like we've seen at Goldstorm.  In addition, hole TA-89-6 at the Konkin Zone showed over 63m at .61g/t Au or better.  Hole TA-87-2 showed 26.06g/t Au over 3.3m only 10m from surface.  Four other holes hit some amount of gold.  All of these results were obtained from less than 250m in depth.  Konkin has simply not been explored to depth in a serious way.  I got this data from Big Ed's 2014 Geological Assessment of Treaty Creek.  Big Ed's conclusion on the Konkin Zone:  "The Konkin Gold zone has received minimal exploration with shallow drill holes. Drilling on the Iron Cap zone demonstrates the need for deep holes in areas of mineralization."
3 - The southernmost holes drilled at Konkin are only about 500m from the northernmost hole drilled at Perfect Storm.  Those two areas might well also be connected.  And the best hole from Perfect Storm so far (PS-21-06) shows 118.6m of the same .66g/t Au.

Putting this all together, we can take a measurement from the south end of Perfect Storm to the north end of Goldstorm and come up with over 4,100 meters of very consistent gold results with no duster holes.  That's without doing more work on Perfect Storm to identify the areas of higher grade, drilling off more of the Konkin Zone, or finding out how far to the northeast Goldstorm actually runs.  The true size and magnitude of this system is finally beginning to show itself.

Looking forward to the remaining results for 2022 drilling.  It seems even more clear to me that any new resource estimate in the first half of 2023 will quickly become outdated by more drilling on the northern end of Goldstorm during the 2023 drill season, but I'm still very interested in seeing where they are after the past two years of exploration.
