ferret_ca wrote: how's your meta doing,  no idea why you picked that one when all of them are correcting and still falling. I have my eye on msft and maybe googl.  I bought gm and some jpm close to their lows about 1/2 positions and will add a bit if they fall back much. today I bought some cjt and bought some tfii the other day when it got hammered on their earnings, again both 1/2 positions for now. also been nibbling at some cdn banks and a few other stocks, mostly I've been buying and laddering some corp bonds and gics for my rrsp withdrawls over the next few years.  lots of opportunity out there, trading my energy stocks while keeping a core position in a few of them. holding my anrg and trading some of it.

cheers ferret

Yes Meta is down around 10% but still holding, it is a small position and will give it time. I also have IBM and CSCO which are doing fine. Added more CIBC at $56 a couple weeks back and also more CVS at $87and change when it got hammered.last month. Already owned JPM and WFC and VFH and lots of oil names and overall it has been a  pretty good run lately. The run in RET.A has really helped results also(up over 100% since July).I really shoukld trim some RET.A but am trying to wait until the new year for tax reasons. XBC sales it trading reopens could help that cause. Cheers Savy
