Tal Hayek @ conference calls Tal Hayek has guided the direction of revenue expectations after each conference call for the next quarter. After Q4 he guided for a soft Q1 given the loss of an order in Q1 2021 that did not repeat. After Q1 conference call he didn't predict if they would achieve higher revenue but focused more on the second half of the year being more robust in terms of sales. After Q2 and with a little over one month in he made it clear that Q3 would deliver growth in both overall sales and with Illumin. As for Q4 of this year, he said it was still early to tell.
My guess is that they deliver growth in sales over last year but that they may guide lower for Q4 given the uncertainty in the economy.
There is one last comment I'd like to make. Tal mentioned after Q1 results that they would increase their sales force in a controlled manner. If they didn't see results, they would scale back on the hiring. Last time I checked, they had 1 sales position available in Canada and 14 positions in the US. Over a week ago, this was 4 sales positions in Canada and 15 positions in the US. I think it's quite possible that things are going as planned given the hiring that's currently taking place.
