That is not to say they necessarily lie to us but they get things wrong too. It is hard to know most of the time whether something is a intentional lie or not, but whatever the case may be, the info gained is hardly guaranteed to be helpful. There is a very good chance it will lead you to the wrong conclusion given the inescapable bias management has to tilt what they say in a favorable way.
