IAMGOLD Corporation is a Canada-based intermediate gold producer and developer. Its principal activities are the exploration, development, and operation of gold mining properties in North America and West Africa. Its projects include Essakane, Westwood and Cote Gold. The Essakane project is in north-eastern Burkina Faso, West Africa. It straddles the boundary of the Oudalan and Seno provinces in the Sahel region of Burkina Faso and is approximately 330 kilometers (km) northeast of the capital, Ouagadougou. The Westwood Project is located on the Doyon property, 2.5 km east of the former Doyon Gold Mine in Bousquet Township. The Cote Gold Project is in the Chester and Yeo Townships, District of Sudbury, in northeastern Ontario. It owns a 100% interest in the Nelligan Gold Project, located 60Km southwest of Chibougamau. It holds claims of Nelligan, as well as other earlier stage exploration properties in Northern Quebec. It also owns Rich Lake and Lac a l’Eau Jaune (gold) properties.

RE:RE:RE:Bad news this morning for IMGGreendayyy, I agree with your comment 100%. Projects under a billion dollars do not exist anymore. In this day and age, infrastructure and construction cost are rising exponentially.  Remember, Cote Gold mine is located next to highway 144 between Timmins and Sudbury in one of the world's leading mining jurisdictions.

Some Highlights of the Ct Gold 2022 Technical Report released in the spring:
  • Mine life of 18 years.  
  • Ct Gold life- of -mine plan based on Mineral Reserves of 7.2 million ounces in the Ct deposit;
  • Ongoing exploration results indicate additional reserves and is open-ended.
  • According to the results released by the company back in the spring 2022, the company expects commercial production to commence in early 2024.
NOTE:
According to the released IAMGOLD third quarter 2022 report, "The Ct Gold Project is approximately 64% complete and advancing well following the schedule and cost update released in the summer.”

The next Cote up-dated 43-1 resource report should indicate higher reserves and increased mine life. Shareholders should appreciate that the Cote Gold mine is being built using the latest mining technology and that it will be a state-of-the-art mining operation with a lot of potential upside.
