RE:Can anyone remember the highest Canopy's market capIf I remember correctly it was about neck a neck with Constellations at one time. 21 billion seems to be what I remember.
Keep in mind that Acreage is destined to be Canopy Growth USA. I don't know how this new llc Canopy Growth USA is going to shakeout.
It seems that Canopy is cutting loose from Canada, not sure about what they are doing in the other 11 countries they are in but clearly the focus is the US market and don't forget that 300k sq foot plant in New York.
Klein is ballsey to push for the States prior to a decriminalization bill at the Federal level but it is going to happen one way or the other and I have my money where my mouth is. My last bid was above the yearly low for 10k shares which if it happened would have been a double.
The whole Acreage/Canopy deal has always been confusing, creative and the revisits were smart for Constellation to influence but I believe very prejudicial to the holders of Acreage floating shares with the latest proposed deal.
They way I see it is that it is an effort to simplify by going through with the deal but at another hugely discounted revisit that has decimated the potential for shareholders of floating shares. At one time it was inked to return $6 US and some change per floating share and now it is looking like it is revisited with the intention to swap a half share of Canopy which at current prices is worth about 2.50 with a big fat reward for the Murphy lender/preferred shareholders and I don't know where the WEED shareholders wind up but I believe it is still 3 Acreage fixed shares for 1 Canopy share which is going to leave a whole bunch of Acreage shareholders less than whole, myself included.
The only thing I am sure about is that Constellation is constantly trying to sweeten the deal for themselves by taking advantage of the uncertainty and the diluted sharevalue under the present circumstances for pot stocks.
It seems like they are going to go through with a deal that they could walk from but only if we drop trow one more time.
For the record, I got stuck with those floating shares and find it adding insult to injury that they let the marketmakers tank the value of Acreage and then take a grab at the 30% of the floating shares at a huge discount aka a shareholder fockover.
I know the goal is to get things moving in the States for the profit potential to cause shareprice appreciation but I need convincing that I am not being left behind as a WEED investor. Maybe I need to change my bid for Canopy for Constellation???
