RE:RE:RE:LME not going to ban Russian metalsVerificate Welll now that a big fat Double Duh to you for this bit of nonsense... "And your point by auto and yourself is that the lme studied it and said no but then again the EU will sanction next"
You were the one here repeatedly cheering for and literally drooling over the prospect of the LME banning Russian nickel. Anyone who follows the sector knows how vital that supply is to the world and that any ban was a non-starter.
Further, to believe that sanctions by western countries would do anything to seriously hinder continued sales of the metal by Russia is as foolish and naive as it is to believe the west could ever stop the flow of oil and natgas out of that country. But hey, keep holdiing onto your dreams of a dystopian world without Russian oil, natgas, nickel, copper, titanium, pgms, fertilizers, grains, processed uranium, heck I might as well add gold that the central banks love too.
The simple fact is that fundamental supply will continue to include nickel from Russia, and it's supply/demand balance that will decide the price of the metal, not virtue-signaling sanctions. Indonesia is the key determinant here, and to a lesser extent NILSY that will ramp its nickel output by 30% in the coming years.
