It is regaining the value from an intial capital investment. Zero cash is lost when you record depreciation on operating cash flows. That 80+ million that was deducted from 'operating cash flows' is still sitting in the bank.
Want to know when REI and FCR cut in 2020? When AFFO was close to 100%. You don't cut when it's 55% payout of AFFO. That's the entire purpose utilities like AQN/TA etc report AFFO.
