Antibe Therapeutics Inc(Pre-Merger) ATBPF

Antibe Therapeutics Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is leveraging its hydrogen sulfide (H2S) platform to develop therapies to target inflammation arising from a range of medical conditions. The Company’s pipeline includes assets that seek to overcome the gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Its lead drug, otenaproxesul, is in clinical development as an alternative to opioids and NSAIDs for acute pain. Its second pipeline drug, ATB-352, is being developed for a specialized pain indication. The Company also focuses on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Otenaproxesul combines a moiety that releases hydrogen sulfide with naproxen, a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug. ATB-352 is an H2S-releasing derivative of ketoprofen, a potent NSAID commonly prescribed for acute pain. Its IBD candidates are being designed to maintain the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic properties of ATB-429.

Thinking Out Loud

Thinking Out Loudsome thoughts about the flip flop. in the Q1 financials aug/15  they talked about how excited they were about there progress and the launch of the P2 molar study which was to begin end of sep,  and then on oct/12 they say they have a "new improved formula" they have been working on since late last year and have made significant advances over the summer, this totaly jives with what was spoon fed to us only 2 months earler on aug/ 15. the stock price tells us that many investors are not buying the flip flop story. do they realy have something here or are investors being fooled again?  this new formula stretches out the ip protection and the life of the company, they can piddle around with this for years, when they run low on cash there will be reverse splits, bought deals whatever has to be done to stay relevant not good for share holders, but good for management, at 200K a year and up they have already won. and to drag it out as long as possible well thats a bonus.

AUG/15th
“We are really pleased with our progress,” commented Dan Legault, Antibe’s CEO. “The data we’ve collected supports otenaproxesul’s target profile as a GI-safe, non-opioid oral analgesic for acute pain – a multi-billion dollar market devoid of innovation and in great need of novel therapies. We’re particularly excited to launch the Phase II molar extraction study next month, enabling us to collect data in post-operative patients for the first time. The results of this study should allow us to identify the optimal dosing regimens for the larger Phase II bunionectomy trial next year.”

OCT/12th

“Since our decision to leverage otenaproxesul’s potency, gastrointestinal protection and overall safety profile for acute pain use, we’ve been working to optimize its pharmacology for this setting,” commented Dan Legault, Antibe’s CEO. “Over the summer, we made significant advances with a faster-dissolving formulation that we’ve been investigating since late last year. With the confidence gained from our recent data and yesterday’s patent application, we are delighted to announce our transition to the new formulation. Beyond unlocking value for our shareholders, we can save resources and streamline our clinical path by bypassing the Phase II molar extraction study originally planned for the fall. Instead, we can capture the necessary data via a set of lower cost, de-risking animal studies, followed by an enhanced Phase II bunionectomy study to begin in the first half of next year – as planned. We’re excited to advance our well-characterized drug in a formulation that promises to make it even better.”

The new formulation’s benefits include: (i) rapid dissolution mechanics, accelerating otenaproxesul’s onset of action, a key benchmark for acute pain medications; and (ii) enhanced bioavailability, enabling a significant dose reduction compared to its current formulation. The lower dose provides an additional safety buffer as well as a potential pathway to address chronic pain indications. The new formulation was developed in collaboration with Antibe’s global manufacturing partner; all related IP is owned exclusively by Antibe.
