RE:RE:RE:Manufacturing index ;Jeb,
fair points.
a few things that a different in this case:
What should have been a simple spinout, and it is simple, became a 1.5 year albatross. It was messup after delay after messup after" confusing" disclosure etc
The underlying TUD shares SHOULD have been in accounts instantaneously at the open of the day reorg closed. I have never seen a delay on the underlying. In the world of today with DRS, even less reason for a holdup.
Spinout shares: On this, I somewhate agree. Usually see 1 or 2 days max of delay.
Of course, the above only applies for shares you hold with broker in CDS/book form, not shares registered directly in your name which always incurs delays.

I rarely weigh in on this board, but come on. Have you ever taken part in a spin-off? This is all normal. If you want to buy and sell in the open market of either TUD or GSTM you may. However any shares that were part of the spinoff will be locked up for a few days. After that it's entirely dependent on your brokerage as to how quickly the shares clear compared to others. You aren't being cheated, nobody has an advantage one way or another. Perhaps brokers with special trading privileges will be able to trade a day or few hours before you, but welcome to how stock trading works. You would've never started trading at all unless you had accepted that aspect.
