As stated prior, Ontarios maximum estimated generation capacity is almost double peak and the Pickering plant represents less than 10% of that. The feds just offered close to $1B for development of SMR at Darlington. We also have many neighbouring connections the most important is Quebec with its massive hydro generating capacity. So even if new capacity isn't online by the time the demand is there, the lights will still turn on.
