I have had the same concerns about Adlai Norte.

But it is possible to sequence the gene structure of the virus and know for sure if they steal the special virus,so to speak.

That is not complete protection, but perhaps close enough. By stealing, all they would save is the royalty. Maybe that is not enough of an incentive for wrecking a good partnership.
