RE:RE:RE:RE:Curtains opening -up?Thanks for your thoughts Margin. I have not acted yet as I weigh the pros and cons of selling at this level to instigate a Capital Loss whilst sittingi-out for 30 days befoire re-entering, I am almost through the 30 day of " no purchases, so my D-Day for decision begins on Dec. 5th. By then I would think there would be some indication of increasing interest in Touchstone developments. however if that is not the case , then at the very least , I would be able to seize the Tax Loss, thereby denying the Taxman his 'TAKE " on my Cap Gains thus far this year, all the while padding my Cash Account to take an opportunity to contribute in the New Year to my Tax Free Savings Account for which I HAVE have ample contribution room. Buying back TXP into that Tax Free Account would hopefully mitigate against any gains in that 30 day period after my Tax Loss Sale, should TXP rise to say your suggested $1.40 or thereabouts in the latter days of December, into early January. And if TXP by some fortunate announcement got away from me. I could find another promising small player ( a la Shubham Garg), or even Guyanese plays like Alvopetro.. I would still hold most of my TXP, having only sold 25-30,000 shares out of 138K currently I believe across all my Accounts.
Tax-Planning can be hard.... but oh so rewarding if carefully plotted. For me this sorry state of Touchstone valuation is like hitting the Trifecta, if all goes according to Plan, but frankly I am somewhat displeased about the foregone Income generation via Dividends had I stuck with Dividend Players as used to be my primary choice , pre-Touchstone. Nevertheless, The Choice made was mine. so I live with it...thus far!
Always good to get your insight S, and wish You and Yours the Best of the upcoming Season this Christmas, and especially into 2023.... for All Touchstoners!! RB aka KH
