Peyto Exploration & Development Corp T.PEY

Alternate Symbol(s):  PEYUF

Peyto Exploration & Development Corp. is a Canadian energy company involved in the development and production of natural gas, oil and natural gas liquids in Alberta's deep basin. The Alberta Deep Basin is a geologic setting situated on the northeastern front of the Rocky Mountain belt in the deepest part of the Alberta sedimentary basin. It acquired Repsol Canada Energy Partnership (Repsol Assets), which included around 23,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of low-decline production and 455,000 net acres of mineral land. The acquisition includes five operated natural gas plants with combined net natural gas processing capacity of around 400 million cubic feet per day, 2,200 kilometers (km) of operated pipelines, and a 12 MW cogeneration power plant. These assets include Edson Gas Plant and the Central Foothills Gas Gathering System. The Company has a total proved plus probable reserves of approximately 7.8 trillion cubic feet equivalent (1.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent).

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:PEY and FRU Have Exactly The Same Market Cap at 2.56BAmmonia enables efficient, low-cost transport and storage of hydrogen. In addition to this role as an energy carrier, it can also be used directly as a fuel in thermal power generation. As a fuel that does not emit carbon dioxide when burned, ammonia is expected to offer great advantages in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the companies said.

A typical modern ammonia-producing plant first converts natural gas, liquified petroleum gas, or petroleum naphtha into gaseous hydrogen. The method for producing hydrogen from hydrocarbons is known as steam reforming. The hydrogen is then combined with nitrogen to produce ammonia via the Haber-Bosch process .
Blue ammonia is a low-carbon method of producing the chemical compound, using steam methane reformation. Hydrogen is first derived as a byproduct of carbon dioxide, which has been captured and stored. It is then combined with nitrogen to produce ammonia. Green ammonia can also be produced through electrolysis powered by renewable energy.

Western Canada enjoys the benefit of both being a vast resource of natural gas as well as offering opportunities for the sequestration of CO2 . By combining ammonia ( say 40 % ) and nat gas in high efficiency power systems , very low levels of CO2 are created.
It does not take decades in most countries to produce Ammonia and the shipment of ammonia in bulk carriers is already happening (though at low volumes for now)
Mitsubishi strongly believes in Ammonia as a future low GHG fuel for their high efficiency power gas turbines. Mitsubishi is already highly involved in power generation and the future production of LNG in Canada. I believe they are already carving out a more prosperous future for us. I just wanted to bring others up to speed !!
