@cargo I do no believe this patent was brought up before, But it seems that the brilliant minds at $PYR have developed a new vacuum sealed smelting furnace (which is suitable for melting metal and smelting metal ores + metal oxides into elemental metals). The furnace does not require any water cooling and the movable electrode can be replaced without have to shutting down the whole process making it a truly continuous operation. Traditionally it takes 6-8 hours to process a 1 ton batch of silicon. PYR has not stated how long they will run the QRR initially, but QRR is capable of producing multiple batches continuously running, meaning if they are doing another 72hr test, we should have at least 10-12 - Si samples by now and cool down for inspection should already have begun. &&& Soon enough it will be operating 24/7 producing multiple batches of Si a Day, providing samples for potential buyers. NONETHELESS BY NOW, the Gen 3 QRR should have produced multiple batches of silicon, semi-continuously, and that makes me beyond excited!!! Looking forward to this week!!! LET$$$GOOOOO!!!!!! $PYR


@Sabbath @robyk traditionally = Siemens electrodes, a typical batch contains 1000 lb (453 kg) each of gravel(high purity quartz) and chips, and 550 lb (250 kg) of coal. The lid of the furnace, which contains electrodes, is placed into position.
