Western Copper and Gold Corporation is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is engaged in developing the Casino Project. The Casino Project is a copper-gold mining project in Yukon, Canada. The Casino porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum deposit is located in west central Yukon, in the northwest trending Dawson Range mountains, approximately 300 kilometers (km) northwest of the territorial capital of Whitehorse. The Casino project is located on Crown land administered by the Yukon Government and is within the Selkirk First Nation traditional territory and the Tr’ondek Hwechin traditional territory lies to the north. The Casino Property lies within the Whitehorse Mining District and consists of approximately 1,136 full and partial Quartz Claims and 55 Placer Claims acquired in accordance with the Yukon Quartz Mining Act. The total area covered by Casino Quartz Claims is approximately 21,126.02 hectares (ha). The total area covered by Casino Placer Claims is 490.34 ha.

Thanx for responding. I loved your "common sense" answer. Yes, those are things we need to keep in mind, about Tom Palmer at Newmont and about First Nation. I think all of us on this board wish that Tom P would get involved, and I think that he will eventually. He's holding his cards close to his chest, waiting for the right moment. I do not think Mark Briscoe at Barrick will get involved, as he has stated several times that projects like ours do not pass their stringent qualifications - capex is too large and Cu concentration is too low ( in their opinion). But, I still have hopes that BHP may get involved. Paul made a cryptic comment in one of his interviews quite a few months ago that we should not count BHP totally out of the picture, and he followed that with a comment half under his breath that "you never know about these big companies - things change whenever they change CEOs". Since Paul worked at BHP some years ago, he probably knows what he is talking about concerning them.
