With a due respect my friend, I think you need to do a bit more homework before making such inaccurate statements.
As an example, the TSLA semi has a range of 500 miles and given that under legislation in the US a driver can drive a max of 11 hours a day this means one recharge during the driving day. The superchargers that TSLA is installing on truck routes can recharge a semi to 70% in 30 minutes, about the time for the driver to take a shower at the truck stop. The fuel cost savings compared to diesel...well enuf said.
The other thing is that 80% of the truck traffic in the US is under 250 miles which means the average semi could do a roundtrip on one charge......the list goes on.
Your comment about California and the potential for blackouts is well taken and this why I have been advocating that people take a hard look at investing in producers of electricity and those companies that can provide security of electricity supply to businesses and those involved in the storage of electricity.
