RE:RE:RE:RE:No dividend increase

RE:RE:RE:RE:No dividend increaseI should also add that the OSFI froze all bank dividend increases for a period of time and that's the main/only reason BNS didn't raise their divy when they were at $0.90.

SargeX wrote: I don't want to go on about this too mcuh by their pattern is generally to raise the divy every 2nd quarter so they are not out of step.

Here's a table from the BNS website by quarter within each year. They missed a few increases when they were stuck at $0.90 but have now resumed their every 2nd quarter pattern.

FY 2019

I guess we're splitting hairs a bit, but for clarity BNS last raised the dividend in July of 2022 (3% or $0.03 increase) and prior to that it was January 2021 (11.11% or $0.10).   Before that we'd have to go to October 2019 for a dividend raise.

Prior to COVID they consistenly raised every other quarter (2 & 4), so the lack of an announcement to raise the dividend is out of step with historical activity.

SargeX wrote: They just rasied their divy last quarter. What are you expecting, an increase every quarter. No company that I know of does that.

Good luck to all
