RE:RE:RE:RE:Are You an Investor or a Trader? In a previous post, I likened EXRO's efforts to that of the early days of the PC business. EXRO is attempting to become the equivalent of "Intel Inside" and the "X86" architecture" by providing both the hardware and software components that offers the market reliable standards without limiting their ability to differentiate themselves at the customer level.
These components represent a significant improvement over the current state of the art and thus the patent portfolio.
A review of their "KIT BROCHURE" is a pretty good illustration of that approach.
The Little green board was once not so little. It was once (probably) SI and not SIC based as well. So I agree there has been a lot of engineering effort expended.
SIC does a much better job of dealing with heat than SI, which improves efficiency. Perhaps the next generation will be GaN based. And even then, cooling is required so I think that is why part of the cover looks like a large heat sync.
AC Fast Charging is a boon to the industry at large (and by large I mean large vehicles) due to the in vehicle and infrastructure savings.
Not such a big deal yet on automobiles as many don't have the electrical architecture to support real fast charging AND fast charging is generally reserved for road trips.
Check out YouTube Channel "Out of Spec Reviews" for some great insight on how vehicle charging varies by brand and by charge station provider.
