RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:And so it starts....Politicians care about one thing and that is staying in power . Most of the time their decisions make no sense but as long as it's popular with the majority of voters, it's a done deal. They make poor choices and pay for the consequences later . They dont give a damn. Voters are like having little kids . You have 5 kids and ask them what they want for dinner, gummy bears or brocolli , You know what they'd vote for. Not good for them at all, but man is it popular.   Democracy is better than anything else but still has major flaws.  These tax raids will hurt them big time in the medium term, but they may be gone by then and retired enjoying the sweet entitlements the private sector rarely gets.
