The Kipushi mine is adjacent to the town of Kipushi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) approximately 30 km southwest of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. The 21 licenses in the Western Foreland cover a combined area of 1,808 square kilometers to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex.

RE:RE:Extortion ‘Mafia’ Hits South Africa’s $55 Billion Mining SecAlso, I reffer you all to the latest Photo gallery on the IVN site and look at the PRETTY PICTURES once again and when you get down to page 16 to 24 you will PLAINLY SEE that the employees are mostly BLACK, so it plainly shows me that we are using local people not only to build it but later to run it as well. RF has always been EXTREMELY SMART realising that if you include locals in your projects, they will have ZERO REASON to be unhappy. They OWN part of the project and get to have jobs as well.IVN alos helps the local communities with schools, clean water, education. Isn't that what that article said they were fighting for ??? With IVN, THEY ALREADY HAVE ALL THAT.
