RE:flaming
The comparison is valid. I'm a contrarian investor. I swoop in when the fear gage goes up. When everyone was selling in March 2020, I was buying right into it. Not easy because most purchases went red immediately. But, today I am sitting on doubles and triples in capital gains with distributions of 20 to over 30% annually on top. I expect this to join that list.

Certainly, inflation is a challenge but the FED will win that fight. The big hurdle here is sentiment which continues to be negative for many travel stocks. But, I think that is soon to flip to the positive and investors will pile back in. HOT has had two very strong quarters and travel has only improved since. An almost 10% distribution with a conservative payout ratio that is well below 100%. Distributions overall are still 70% below pre-pandemic levels. These are numbers I like.

My timeline is years here, so I am fine to get paid to wait. This strategy has always rewarded me well.
