And what will they do with their 7,486,187 shares of dream office? Hold them and collect a dividend? You said it yourself, buying reits for divies is not apart of their plan. 

Buying dream is more time sensitive then buying their own shares. It is clear they want to buy unfavourable asset classes now and sell them in 2-5 years for big bucks. If they don't complete what they started with D they are at the mercy of the stock recovering.

They already have control over their own assets and can do what they please with them.
