Hello Wojo1963 - there is a reference and link to a "peer-reviewed study" in an Apr 27, 2022 news release on Ascend's website, but the linked research paper doesn't mention Ascend directly.

Still, Honda signed an agreement with Ascend to recycle their spent batteries, so one would assume the process has been sufficiently validated, even though the results may not be publicly available.
