RE:RE:RE:RE:Nice to breach the $30 markHey Bossu
Good for you on KEY and the other midstream trades. It definitely is a great sector to short temr trade.
I go through short term trading phases every no ana gain and did a lot betwen Mar 2020 and Apr 2022 using some of our extra cash. I started with about $50k per trade and eventually grew it to $100k. I did really well with a profit of just over $100k in 18 months. I kept a spreadhseet and here's the count of stocks I traded in that period:
AQN=15,BCE=11,BIP=3,CPX=7,ENB=6,GRT=6,HR=3,IPL=12,KEY=22,NPI=11,PPL=7,TRP=5,Other=13
You can see that KEY was my fav.
I always had a rule to never sell for a loss. Fittingly, on April Fools Day this year, I got into a DIR.UN trade for 6200 shares at $16.13. It's now sitting at $12.10 so it didn't turn out to be my brightest moment. It could be years before I get to sell and when I do, I am handing in my short term trading badge and just adding long term shares to existing holdings. It was starting to be too much work anyway but it was sure fun while it lasted.
Good luck on your continued trades.
Ciao

You are right about KEY.
It is a very good investment to have and the yield is among the highest on the TSE
The only difference with your way of investing is the fact that I have been in and out almost 20 times in different accounts with a decent profit on each trade in 2022 and of course having sometimes 6,0% yield .
Just sold at $ 31,30 on December 2 and bought back at $ 29,75 on December 12 for a ''potential'' sell at $ 31
Of course with the after the market close announcement where KEY have a ''
Bought deal equity at $28,30 '' I'm surely going to average down and ''hold''
longer because of the yield or potentially sell if KEY move up to $31 or so later on.
Bottom line :KEY is a ''keeper'' for investors looking for sound investment and good for traders.
Looking back at the ''Pandemic'' annnoucement in 2020 I was lucky to buy KEY at $ 13,50 and sold a month later at $ 21.
Same success with Pembina Pipeline and Interpipeline !
Happy trading
