Acuras, you are probably referring to Goldisking but I will chime in anyway because my screen handle also uses "gold".

For the record, my "flamingogold" handle is to poke fun at the fact that the stock market is one big casino and most "investors" are just gamblers at the table behind their screens.

I took "Flamingo" from the Flamingo Hotel which was the first major luxury hotel on the Vegas strip backed by gambling mob leader Bugsy Siegel. It is a reminder to myself that the market is where the greatest thieves live (lately SBF), to find the nuggets to "invest" in and resist the urge to gamble.

And I tagged on "Gold" because it is a fool's store of wealth... it costs you to store it, it pays no dividends and, ironically, you ultimately sell gold to buy real fiat dollars. A poke at the anti-investing bullion lickers who, by the way, fallen behind true investors buying just the S&P and Dow.

Great thoughts that I agree with ... the market has become more of a gambling site , especially with the trade fees at zero cost .... did you know that if Trump would have invested the money he got from his dad into the Dow back then he would be worth double what he is claiming now WITHOUT  going belly up and screwing everybody... I bought into the Dow ( with a decent chunk of change from the sale of my business in 2008) and it brings in dividends every month ... that's investing , if you can get cheap enough... the rest of the time we are fighting off the big boys who control the markets ... most of the time the " wannabe traders" get their teeth knocked out eventually , trying to hit it out of the ballpark...
