RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:NCIB

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:NCIBThose reasons are exactly why you do a reverse 2 for 1.. you have 1/2 the number of shares to pay the divi on and the net worth per share doubles.. and the plan moves forward with debt retirement and cash in my pocket.. and AGAIN I say a reason for dividend funds to invest.. we need all the investors we can muster up now a days.. and that's one easy way to drive them our way..

Also when calculating the value of a company shares outstanding is a very important factor, net worth divided by outsatnding shares. I do agree that the NCIB has done little for the stock price but the same can be said about debt reduction, or  increased production. Its all snafu

If oil improves in 2023, the sp will climb.  If oil goes to $50, then the sp will drop. Pushing the sp issue is not imho relevant at this point as we still have a large debt, are in a much maligned sector, and are in the crosshair of any politiciansaiming to win votes.  I say "leave it alone".

That debt is being paid off quickly.. and will soon NOT be an issue.. what concerns me with the share buy backs is this.. Quote:

"Year to date, the company repurchased 23.5 million common shares for $154-million, representing 4.1 per cent of its shares outstanding, at an average price of $6.53 per share."

4.1% less shares surely hasn't supported the share price since the NCIB has started this year..
As I said previously debt and divi's will propel this stock much higher than a buy back.. IMO
After all 1000 shares at $10 is no different than 500 shares at $20.. its irrlevant really
